A Real Client Story: Designing a Luxury Coastal Birthday Picnic for a 14-Year-Old in Miami

Turning 14 is a milestone worth celebrating in a way that's as unique and full of personality as the birthday girl herself. Recently, we had the pleasure of helping one wonderful mom surprise her daughter with a luxury beach picnic designed just for her and her closest friends.

The vision was clear from the beginning: create a fun, vibrant, and elegant beach celebration that felt youthful while maintaining the elevated styling that makes every It's Always Picnic Time event special.

A Coastal Celebration

Every event we create starts with our client's vision.

For this birthday, the birthday girl loved shades of blue and dreamed of incorporating seashells throughout the décor to reflect the beauty of the ocean. Her mom also asked us to include soft green accents to bring freshness and balance to the design.

Those simple ideas became the inspiration for the entire tablescape.

We paired our signature blue striped cushions with elegant sage-green ribbed glassware to create a sophisticated coastal palette. Soft blue dinner plates added a clean, fresh look, while gold flatware elevated every place setting.

Natural seashells were thoughtfully placed throughout the table, bringing texture and reinforcing the beach-inspired theme without overwhelming the design.

The result was playful, elegant, and perfect for a group of teenage friends celebrating by the ocean.

Around Her Favorite Blooms

Flowers are often what bring a design to life. One special request from the birthday girl was to include roses, her favorite flower.

Our floral arrangement featured beautiful blush and soft pink roses mixed with seasonal white blooms and fresh greenery, creating an organic centerpiece that complemented the ocean-inspired color palette beautifully.
